Dating today can feel confusing, exhausting, and discouraging especially when you want to honor God but keep encountering mixed signals, wasted time, and unhealthy patterns.
What is a Mini Course?
A mini course is a focused learning experience designed to cover a specific topic in a short amount of time. Mini courses typically run up to two hours and are designed to be practical, engaging, and immediately applicable. Participants will receive a certificate of completion after attending the course.

Pastor George J Barnes
Pastor George J Barnes is the lead pastor of Purpose Church and a relationship focused teacher with a strong academic foundation in psychology, theology, and social research.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Research Psychology) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where his undergraduate thesis examined how investment and anxiety in romantic relationships impact self-esteem. His research background informs his practical approach to dating, attachment, boundaries, and relational decision-making.
Pastor Barnes holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from The Washington Theological Union Seminary and a Master of Arts in Social and Public Policy from Georgetown University, equipping him to address relationships through both a biblical and cultural lens.
In addition, he completed a Certificate in Open Innovation at Harvard University, focused on solving complex human and organizational challenges using research-driven solutions.
Pastor Barnes is also the author of The Growth Principle: How Ordinary People Do Extraordinary Things. He is known for blending relationship research, biblical wisdom, and real life insight to help people move from attraction toward covenant with clarity and intention.
